Series 33. - C:1/25/24 (A08-43)
This Series contains photographic and other records created and received by Recreation Services and Facilities, (ca. 1927-2007, bulk 1990-2000). The majority of the records consist of photographs, slides, and negatives that document the following campus-related events, activities, and locations: construction, renovation, and dedication of recreation facilities, including Rothwell Gymnasium, Brewer Field House, and Stankowski Field, (1927-2007); Homecoming, (1996); Wilderness Adventures, (1975-2000); marching band, mascots, and football games, (ca. 1979-1996); Summer Welcome and Revue, (1985-1997); campus buildings and scenes, (1979-1992); Special Olympics, (ca. 2000-2002); Rappelling Tower, (1996); and the Memorial Stadium Committee and stadium construction, (ca. 1927). The photographic materials also include events and activities held in the Recreation Services facilities, including Sports Camp, fitness classes, swimming events, Spring Roar, Recreation Services staff, and wheelchair basketball. The Series also contains event flyers, newspaper clippings, and scrapbooks related to Recreation Services facilities and events, (1981-1982, 1997-2003); pamphlets and brochures; and historical synopses of athletics in Brewer Field House and select MU athletic figures, including Thornton Jenkins, Wilbur Stalcup, Thomas Botts, Anton Stankowski, George Edwards, and Bob Vanatta.

This Series contains records created and received by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student, Personnel, and Auxiliary Services, (1984). The records consist of informational material about each office and unit answering to the Vice Chancellor (VCSPAS) that was collected into a binder. The offices and units include: Student Health, Residential Life, Student Development, Personnel Services, Financial Aid, Memorial Union/Brady Commons, Hearnes Multipurpose Building, Counseling Services, Parking Operations, and the Police Department. The records include organizational charts, brochures, pamphlets, and other informational publications.

This Series contains records created by the University of Missouri Office of Disability Services, (1998-2005, 2013-2019). The records consist of annual reports, organization charts, and one status report for the Office of Disability Services. The Series also includes a New Student Orientation video and various administrative forms available from the Office's website.

Series 41. - C:1/25/33 (A18-04)
This Series contains printed and duplicated materials as well as photographic materials created and received by the Department of Residential Life in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Missouri, (ca. 1950-2011). The printed and duplicated materials include the following types and topics: brochures, newsletters, schedules, residence halls, learning communities, activities calendars, and various ceremonies, including groundbreaking ceremonies and dedications. The photographic material includes photographic prints, negatives, and slides, and depicts, among other things, residences halls and residence hall staff, including resident advisors and residence hall coordinators. Also included in Series 41 are VHS video tapes for staff programming training and a scrapbook dedicated to Wolpers Hall, (1965-1998).

This Series contains records created and received by the Wellness Resource Center, part of the Department of Student Health and Well-Being in the University of Missouri's Division of Student Affairs, (1986-2018). The records consist of printed and duplicated material and other promotional material created by the Center. The Series also contains award plaques received by the Wellness Resource Center for its staff and programs. In addition, the Series includes photographs of Center events.

Series 44. - C:1/25/36 (A21-07)
This Series contains memorabilia of the Rec Services and Facilities Department, (ca. 2000). The memorabilia consist of a fleece pullover issued to permanent staff members and office personnel during the annual Rec Services Employee Awards and Recognition ceremony. The pullover is embroidered with "Team Mizzou" over the MU logo.

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
