Scope and Content Note
This Record Sub-Group is made up of printed and duplicated materials generated by or in cooperation with the University of Missouri-Columbia Intercollegiate Athletics Department. Included in this Sub-Group are copies of such publications as the MU Sports News Bulletin, Mizzou RAH magazine, Mizzou Review, Mizzou Sports Newsletter, the Basketball at Missouri Press, Radio and Television Guide, Ol' Mizzou, game programs, tournament prospecti, summer sports camp brochures, season schedules, and team roster cards.
Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:31/00/1 (A13-24; various)
This Series contains financial statements and a variety of printed and duplicated material pertaining to the University of Missouri Intercollegiate Athletics Department, (1901-2001). Included among the printed and duplicated material are Mizzou RAH, Mizzou Tigers News Release, Missouri Tiger Sports News, University of Missouri Sports News Bulletin, University of Missouri Weekly Sports Letter, Inside Mizzou Sports, schedules, and general Athletic Department publications. Series 1 also includes a copy of the Missouri Tiger issue of "All American Athletics". Though not a University of Missouri publication, it contains articles on MU football, basketball, track, baseball, the University of Kansas Jayhawks, Christian College, Stephens Junior College, and the city of Columbia.

Series 4. - C:31/00/4 (A85-04; A02-127)
This Series contains copies of the UMC Intercollegiate Athletics Department publication, Mizzou Review, (ca. 1978-1995, 1998-2002). This annually produced publication is an overall retrospective of the MU athletic programs for the year. Included in this Series are team statistics, highlights, disappointments, and photographs of players, coaches, faculty, and directors. Both men's and women's MU athletic teams are covered.

Series 5. - C:31/00/5 (A95-110; A13-24)
This Series contains issues of the Mizzou Sports Newsletter, published by the University of Missouri Intercollegiate Athletics Department. The Series includes a nearly (except issue #13) complete run of issues from the 1994-1995 academic year, as well as other issues from 1987-1995, with gaps.

Series 6. - C:31/00/10 (Special Collections Vertical File)
This Series contains printed and published items relating to the Mizzou Athletic Scholarship Associates and other fund raising efforts of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Included in this Series are copies of the MASA Sports Report, (1980-1981), and its successor publication The Tiger's Pride (1981-1983), both published by the Mizzou Athletic Scholarship Associates (MASA), as well as copies of Tiger Row, (2008-2014), published by Walsworth Publishing Company, and Inside Mizzou, (2004-2005), published by Scout Publishing, for the Tiger Scholarship Fund. All four serials report on all major MU sports. Also within the series are pamphlets and booklets promoting the Tiger Athletic Scholarship Fund and special benefits available to MASA members, and Varsity-M Club members, and fundraising materials for projects such as Mizzou Arena and improvements to Memorial Stadium. The Series includes electronic copies of the Tiger Scholarship Fund Donor Guide Book, (2008-2010, 2015, 2016).

Series 7. - C:31/00/11 (Special Collections Vertical File)
This Series contains enrollment and promotional brochures for the various MU athletic camps and clinics sponsored by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and individual coaching staffs and administered by the University Extension Conference Office (1982-2000). Sports and activities promoted in these publications include: baseball (1982-2001), women's softball (1983-2000), golf and tennis (1987-1989), women's gymnastics (1982-1999, 2008), wrestling (1983-1999, 2008), football (1982-2005), swimming (1986-2005), women's volleyball (1986-1998), men's basketball (1986, 2001), women's basketball (ca. 1998), soccer (1997-2003), cheerleading (1988-1997), track and field (1986-1998), basketball officiating (1989-1990), and associated coaching clinics and seminars.

Series 8. - C:31/00/12 (Special Collections Vertical File)
This Series consists of informational brochures for programs designed to assist student athletes. Among these programs are academic counseling, employment counseling, and living skills. Included in the Series are brochures for the "Life Skills" Program, and the "Total Person" Program. Also included are reference guides to NCAA Rules and Regulations, published by ICA, and a 1990 Student Athlete Academic Yearbook.

Series 9. - C:31/00/13 (Special Collections Vertical File)
This Series contains various publications of the MU Baseball Program. Included in the Series are Official Score Cards (1982-2001), pocket schedules for the 2001, 2008, and 2009 seasons, tickets and stubs for the 2001 season, a brochure soliciting contributions for the improvement of Simmons Field (2000), the 1997 Fall Baseball Prospectus, a 1996 NCAA tournament guide, and several undated statistics sheets. The series also includes issues of the newsletter Tiger Bullpen, (1993-1995).

This Series consists of publications from the MU Swimming and Diving Program. Included in the Series are programs for the 1978 Big-8 Women's Swimming and Diving Championship and the 1967 and 1985 Big-8 Men and Women's Swimming and Diving Championship. The Series also contains swimming schedule broadsides for the 1967-1968 and 1968-1969 seasons.

This Series consists of published materials of the MU Wrestling Program. Included in the Series are Big-12 Conference tournament programs (1996-1998, 2003) and MU match programs from 1982, 2002-2003, and 2013. In addition the Series contains wrestling schedule broadsides for the 1967-1968 and 2001-2002 seasons, pocket schedules for 2006-2009, a season prospectus for 1972-1973 and 1982-1983, and programs for the 2008-2016 (with gaps) "Beauty and the Beast" combined wrestling and women's gymnastics meets.

This Series consists of published materials for the MU Golf and Tennis Programs. Included in this Series are men's and women's Big 8 and Big XII tournament guides (1991, 1997, 2003), a season guide for the 1996 men's and women's tennis teams, and a pocket schedule for the 2014-2015 men's golf team. Also included is one issue of the women's tennis team newsletter, Tiger Tennis, 1997.

Series 17. - C:31/00/21 (Special Collections Vertical File)
This Series consists of published materials for the MU Men's and Women's Track and Field Programs. The Series includes programs for Interscholastic Meets (1903, 1942, 1946, 1948-1952, 1955-1957), Announcements for High School Day (1904-1906, 1915, 1916, 1918, 1924) and a program for an indoor meet of Freshmen vs. Sophomores (1913). In addition, there are track and field season guides for the 1978-1979, 1984, 1988-1989 and 1996 programs. Also included in this Series are tournament programs for 1951, 1979, 1980, 1985, and 1997-1998. The Series also includes a 1973 Outdoor Track Season Highlights Book and several press releases about the Women's Cross Country program (1980).

Series 18. - C:31/00/22 (Special Collections Vertical File)
This Series consists of published materials from the MU Women's Gymnastics Program. The Series includes Spectator's Guides to matches (1996-2000), pocket schedules for the 1987, 2002-2003, 2006-2007 and 2008-2009 seasons, and a number of tournament programs. The tournament guides are for the following invitational events: Gymnastics X-Treme (2000), State Farm Insurance Cat Classic (1984-2000), Corvette Cup (1995-2000, 2002), Shakespeare's Festival (1991-1999), Big-8 Women's Gymnastic Championship (1987, 1991, 1995), and the 1984 Central Regional NCAA Gymnastic Championship.

Series 20. - C:31/00/24 (Special Collections Vertical File)
This Series consists of a variety of publications sponsored by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to promote the general athletic program of the University among fans and new/prospective athletes and to raise funds for facility support. Subjects include the Tiger Team Store; all-sports ticket information; Truman Club and "Truman Tiger Tales" newsletter; and Hearnes Center, Memorial Stadium, and Taylor Stadium "Guide to Operations" and "Event Staff Handbook". The Series also includes published annual reports and strategic planning documents, (1955, 1978, 2000, and 2002).
