Scope and Content Note
This Sub-Group contains records of the University of Missouri President's subordinate Office of Research and Patent Development (since 1987, the Office of Patents and Licensing). Included in this Sub-Group are correspondence, committee meeting agendas, committee meeting minutes, professional conference materials, research equipment inventories, grant records, contracts, grant summaries, Grant Data Retrieval System (GDRS) records, review panel nominations, the 1981 UM General Assurance Statement, survey statistics and other records gathered by the University-wide Committee on Academic Plans (UCAP), National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) conference materials, newsletters from national research organizations, personnel records, grievance procedure changes, records of the Radiation Safety Committee, computing activity reports, records of the 1981 Missouri Energy Conference, records of the Regional Energy Council, and records of the Society of University Patent Administrators (SUPA).
Also included in the Sub-Group are records regarding the Saint Louis Regional Commerce and Growth Association (RCGA), Grants Officers meeting minutes, meeting records of the Central Radiation Safety Committee (CRSC), applications for licensing, project reports, consulting reports, records of the Animal Resources Advisory Committee, research status reports, industrial development studies, regulatory agency records and materials, records regarding pending research legislation, records of the Ad Hoc Committee for Review of Board of Curators Rules and Regulations, academic plans for research, UM Environmental Trace Substance Research Center (ETSRC) records, Human Experimentation Group records, affirmative action records, records of the Institutional Review Board on Changes in Personnel, and revisions to the University of Missouri Business Policy and Procedures Manual.

This Series contains records of the Office of Research and Patent Development (1980-1981). Included in this Series are correspondence, committee meeting agendas, committee meeting minutes, professional conference materials, research equipment inventories, personnel records, grant records, contracts, survey data, and revisions to the UM-System Business Policy and Procedures Manual. Topics in this Series include a self study of research efforts, activities reports, personnel relations, the Society of University Patent Administrators (SUPA), the Association of American Universities, UM Computing Information Systems (CIS), research project safety, research project risks, research involving other countries, the Equipment Management Task Force, and grant contract and research support.
