Series 1. - UW:4/112/5 (A12-27; Pamphlet File)
This Series contains printed and duplicated records created by the Vice President for Human Resources or the UM-System Office of Human Resource Services, (ca. 1973-2017). The records consist of a Personnel Policy Manual, (ca. 1983-1996), a Human Resources Policy Manual, (1997-2000), a Human Resources Benefits Manual, (1997), an Employee Relations Manual, (ca. 1973), the Staff Handbook, (ca. 1981-2000), copies of Working with the University of Missouri - A Handbook for Administrative, Service and Support Staff, (ca. 1970-1971), "Faculty and Staff Benefit Plan Changes", (2006), "Medical Benefit Plan", (2006), and "Total Rewards Guide", (2017).
Note to Researcher: In the course of use, some of these manuals were updated by removing outdated policies and replacing them with revised policies.

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
