What is the Kardex Concordance? The Kardex Concordance is a tool primarily for use by employees of the University Archives. Visitors to this site do not need to use the concordance in order to navigate the University Archives' Web site. If you have an original Kardex collection number (such as C:5/4/6, etc.) for which you are trying to find the new Web site location and number, continue reading to find out how the concordance works. University Archives is in the process of converting the original Kardex numbering system to a new Internet numbering system. The original numbering system found on the paper Kardex cards is listed in descending order on the Kardex Concordance. The Concordance contains hypertext links which allow someone to click on the old Kardex number (which looks like the following examples, C:21/4/5 or UW:3/7/2) and connect to the new collection number on the Internet. If the Kardex collection number is known (e.g. C:14/5/2 or UW:5/2/1), click on that number and link directly to the new Internet number and location. Collections beginning with the letter "C" (for Columbia Campus) are numerically listed under the "Campus Records" link. Collections beginning with the letters "UW" (for University-Wide, or relating to the four University of Missouri campuses) are numerically listed under the "University-Wide Records" link. There is a link at the top and bottom of the Campus Records page that connects to the University-Wide page, and links on the University-Wide page to connect to the Campus Records page.
