Scope and Content Note
This Sub-Group contains records produced by the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Fine Arts Department of Theatre. Included in this Sub-Group are photographs, negatives, programs, brochures, and other printed and duplicated material.
Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:6/46/7 (A09-28)
This Series contains records created and received by the Department of Theatre in the School of Fine Arts at the University of Missouri, (1946, 1974-2008). The records consist of photographs and negatives of Theatre faculty and actors as well as of a few productions and Summer Repertory members. Included in the production photographs are two of Donovan Rhynsburger in Rip Van Winkle, 1946. The Series also contains printed and duplicated items such as play programs and season brochures.

Series 2. - C:6/46/5 (A07-59)
This Series contains records created by the Department of Theatre, (1988-2004). The records consist of event programs, department rosters, (1994-2003), radio and television promotional spots, (1992-2002), and photographic slides and prints of Theatre events, including "Mad about Miller!," the Miller Musical Theatre Endowment, (2000).

Series 3. - C:6/46/10 (A10-68)
This Series contains records created and received by the Department of Theatre, (1940, 1959, 1980-2003). The records consist of photographic materials, including slides and negatives, of various theatre productions. The Series also includes miscellaneous administrative records as well as audio and video publicity material for Summer Repertory Theatre productions, (1996-1998).

Series 4. - C:6/46/12 (A13-19)
This Series contains records created by the Department of Theatre in the School of Fine Arts at the University of Missouri, (1985-2002). The records consist of scrapbooks for various theatre seasons as well as for the Department of Theatre. The Series also contains video tapes of theatre department productions including the Summer Repertory Theatre.

The records consist of terminated faculty files [RESTRICTED], (1981-1998, 2006); alumni correspondence, (2007-2010), mainly in the form of announcements and photographs; and memorial photographs and information for Paula Archer, (2012), and Dan Springer, (ca. 2011)

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
