Scope and Content Note
This Record Sub-Group contains records created and received by the administrative staff of the Journalism Library, a branch of the MU Libraries. The Sub-Group includes correspondence, memoranda, reports, surveys, architectural plans, and facilities planning records.
Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:20/13/2 (A08-72)
This Series contains administrative records from the Office of the Director of the Journalism Library, (1980-1997). The records consist of correspondence, memoranda, notes, questionnaires and surveys, and architectural plans and drawings. The majority of the records pertain to library facilities expansion and renovation.

This Series contains construction plans for Lee Hills Hall, (1993).

This Series contains administrative and other records created and received by the Director of the Journalism Library, (1918-2017). The administrative records consist of Journalism Graduate Faculty meeting minutes [RESTRICTED], (1989-2010), and doctoral program review site visit documentation, (2006). Additional records in Series 3 are of the following types and topics: School of Journalism graduate program handbooks, Journalism School committee reports, printed and duplicated material, photographic material, correspondence, and numerous School of Journalism topical files.

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
