Scope and Content Note

This Record Sub-Group contains miscellaneous records pertaining to the University of Missouri-Columbia President's House or Chancellor's Residence. The records consist of a microfilmed scrapbook of newspaper clippings, guest books, an embossing seal hand press, and architectural drawings and material samples.

Note to Researcher: The President's House and the Chancellor's Residence refer to the same structure on Francis Quadrangle on the campus of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Following the advent of the University of Missouri System the house became the residence of the Chancellor of the Columbia Campus.

Series 1 - C:0/15/2 (A89-41)
This Series contains a microfilmed scrapbook of newspaper clippings pertaining to the University of Missouri-Columbia Chancellor's Residence. This collection was compiled (1978-1981) by UMC Chancellor Barbara S. Uehling.

Series 2. - C:0/15/3 (A05-47; A15-15)
This Series contains records and artifacts from the Chancellor's Residence on the Francis Quadrangle at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The records consist of an embossing seal hand press for the President's House, (n.d.), and visitor guest books for the Chancellor's Residence, (1981-2011).

Series 3. - C:0/15/4 (A05-45)
This Series contains records of the Chancellor's Residence, (1990-1998). The records consist of architectural plans and material samples used in renovation and construction campaigns. The Series contains architectural plans and mounted wallpaper samples for a proposed renovation and restoration of the living and dining rooms of the Residence. In addition the Series contains a long-range renovation plan for the Residence developed by T. J. Wofford, Design Structures, Inc., (1998). Also included in the Series are plans and lighting fixture descriptions for the Residence's Bess Schooling Perennial Garden, (1990).

This Series contains photographic prints of University of Missouri presidents and chancellors and their spouses used to decorate the Chancellor's Residence.
