The bulk of records in this Sub-Group were created or received by UM-System Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Thomas C. Collins (1981-1984). Included in this Sub-Group are correspondence, newspaper clippings, and reports. Series Descriptions: Series 1 - UW:4/52/1 (A86-34) This Series contains Records of the University of Missouri President's Office pertaining to the Office of Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (1979-1985). The bulk of records in this Sub-Group were created or received by UM-System Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Thomas C. Collins (1981-1984). Included in this Series are correspondence, newspaper clippings, and reports relating to fact-finding visits to Egypt, radiation safety, biohazard safety, the UM-System Sinclair Research Farm, the UM-System Sinclair Comparative Medicine Research Farm, facility evaluations, higher education concerns, a NASA and University of Missouri sponsored "Interactions Symposium," research program services, the Water Resources Research Center, and the Task Force on Enhanced Research Development. Also included in the Series is a copy of a 1983 Directory of Missouri Research Workers with Interests in Water and State and Federal Agencies with Water Responsibilities. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
