Record Group: 9 C Scope and Content Note (A77-72; A77-74; A78-4; A78-19) Biographical Note: Ralph Scorah was hired by the University on September 21, 1935 as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He was appointed Associate Professor in 1942 and Professor in 1943. He was a professor at the University until his death in 1969. During his tenure he was a member of the Committee on University Policy in 1955 and served as the Chairman of the Department of Engineering from 1957-1958. In 1967 his title was changed to Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. After his death he was bestowed the title of Professor Emeritus of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
