Scope and Content Note
This Sub-Record Group holds records created or received by the College of Arts and Science Department of Geography. It consists of administrative and personnel records, faculty files, reports, and departmental and extra-departmental meeting minutes and files. This Record Sub-Group also contains printed and duplicated material produced by the Department of Geography.
Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:6/21/1 (A02-77)
This Series contains Missouri Cultural Heritage Center Advisory Council records created and received by advisory council member, Professor of Geography Walter Schroeder (1981-1990). Among the records in this Series are the First Year Report of the Missouri Cultural Heritage Center (1984); the Center's five-year plan (1990); minutes of meetings; correspondence; brochures, pamphlets, newsletters, and publications of the Center; public program and seminar announcements and advertisements; NEH grant proposals and grant information; newspaper clippings and press releases.

Series 2. - C:6/21/5 (A01-86; A13-67; A20-74)
This Series contains administrative records created or received by the College of Arts and Science Department of Geography (1949-2010). It consists of personnel records of terminated faculty and staff [RESTRICTED], (1962-2010), the faculty files [RESTRICTED] of William Noble and Jesse Wheeler, (1949-1998), external departmental reviews, (1981, 1984), departmental curriculum records, (1971-1989) and cumulative updates, (1978-1997), minutes of the Faculty Meetings, (1/1989-12/1997), the Annual Department Summary, (1977-1988), the Department Plan, (1983-1990), and copies of reports. Reports include the Sherman Report, (1970), the Borchart Report, (1974), the Wilson Report, (1984), and the College of Arts and Science annual reports, (1981-1987).

This Series contains printed and duplicated material created by the Department of Geography in the College of Arts and Science, (1981-2009). The records consist of departmental newsletters, brochures, and flyers. The Series also includes annual reports for the Geographic Resources Center, (1981-1985).

Series 4. - C:6/21/4 (A12-31)
This Series contains administrative records of the Department of Geography in the College of Arts and Science at the University of Missouri, (1965-2007, bulk 1990-2000). The records consist of the following types and topics: correspondence, memoranda, reports, reviews, printed and duplicated, Major Field Assessments, Mission Enhancement, teaching, capstone courses, and graduate students. Many of the records come from the period when Christopher Salter was chairman.
