Scope and Content Note
This Record Sub-Group contains records relating to the campus, faculty and student involvement in the anti-Viet Nam War and the student peace movement of the 1960s and 1970s. The Sub-Group contains a microfilmed historical scrapbook of the Missouri Peace Study Institute maintained by the Department of Peace Studies and begun by Professor Bill Wickersham.

Series 1. - C:22/22/1 (A02-10)
This Series consists of a scrapbook maintained by the MU Department of Peace Studies that was created prior to the Department's establishment. The scrapbook dealing with the Missouri Peace Study Institute was loaned to the University Archives for microfilming by Peace Studies Department Professor Bill Wickersham. The Missouri Peace Study Institute (MPSI) was a non-university ecumenical organization founded in 1968 to promote anti Viet Nam student resistance and world peace. The scrapbook contains clippings and photographs of events and programs sponsored and organized by the Institute as well as documents that constitute the MPSI organic instruments (1968 - 1971).
