This Sub-Group also includes correspondence and administrative office files of the School of Public and Community Services during 1958-1988. Historical Note: The Department of Regional and Community Affairs was re-named the Department of Community Development in 1980. The College of Public and Community Services was terminated and the Department of Regional and Community Affairs was transferred to the College of Agriculture in 1988. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - C:16/6/1 Series One contains material collected by Frederick J. Culver, director of Community-Public Programs, University of Missouri Extension (1969-1974). Included in the Series are newsletters, articles, reports, studies and summaries of seminars. Also included in the Series are some research papers and a small folder of correspondence and biographical information. Topics addressed in these files include: Robert J. Bevine, Agricultural Economics, Rex R. Campbell, Rural Sociology, Hugh Denny, and Regional and Community Affairs. Please follow this link for a full inventory. This former Series contains audio tapes of lectures given by Professor C. David Anderson on justice, censorship, law, ethics, etc (1975-1976). Series 3. - C:16/6/3 (A90-109) Series Three contains correspondence involving the department chair, faculty, and the administration. Also included in the Series are department committee materials, annual reports, and evaluations, newsletters, faculty service reports, vitae, publications, speeches, project records, Student Handbooks, international programs and services materials, faculty recruitment, research proposals, seminars and conferences and urban community development records. (8 c.f., 000107, 000108, 000145, 000146, 000148, 000154, 000159, 000183) Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
