Scope and Content Note
This Record Sub-Group contains records pertaining to curriculum offerings of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Nursing, including those from Nursing Outreach and Distance Education (NODE). The records in the Sub-Group consist of course syllabi, non-credit offering files, continuing education offering files, records of the Visiting Speaker Series, and course documentation.

Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:15/11/1 (A92-102; A93-97; A93-119; A97-39; A97-55; A97-95; A99-25; A99-81; A00-18; A04-58; A20-64)
This Series contains course syllabi of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Nursing, (1980-2007). The Series includes both 16mm diazo microfilm copies, (1980-1997), and paper copies, (1993-2007), of course syllabi.

This Series contains UMC School of Nursing records, (1995-1997). This Series includes
continuing education credit documentation; final participation rosters; individuals'
names who achieved accreditation by keeping licenses updated; and records for
courses 1305, 1580, 1705, 1730-1767, 1782-1894.

Series 4. - C:15/11/3 (A03-48)
This Series contains records from the School of Nursing regarding Continuing Education curricula and programs, (1997). The records include course materials, participation lists, and certifications. Many of the records pertain to Continuing Education Units (CEUs), workshops or conferences, and presentation material. The course or program numbers included in this Series are 1885, 1900, and 1916 through 2024. Some of the courses and conferences concern Pharmacology, Family Practice, PMNP Clinic Practicum, Rusk International Symposium, Advanced Intravenous Procedures, and the 8th Annual Pediatric Nursing Conference.

This Series contains records from Nursing Outreach and Distance Education regarding Continuing Education curricula, conferences, and programs, (1989-2006), including non-credit documentation. The course or program numbers included in this Series are 2009 through 2634 (with gaps). Some of the conference and program files include registration information [RESTRICTED]. Among the course and conference titles are: International Gerontology, Spinal Cord Injury, Caring for the Frail and Elderly, Basic Fetal Monitoring, Adolescent Sports Injuries, Millenium Healthcare, Excellence in Leadership, Perioperative Nursing, Trauma Update, Nursing and Law, and Breastfeeding Educator.

This Series contains administrative records from Nursing Outreach and Distance Education regarding curricula, conferences, and other continuing education programming, (1988-2002). The records consist of Dialysis program files, (1997-1999), School Nurse Achievement Program (SNAP) Excellence in Mental Health training and manual, (1988-1999), American Nurses Credentialing Center accreditation, (1992, 1998), conference brochures and evaluations, (1995-2000), clinical sabbaticals, and verification documentation for programs and conferences (nos. 2305-2437 with gaps).

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
