Included in the Sub-Group are minutes, newsletters, correspondence, and financial records. Series Descriptions: Series 1 - C:10/14/1 (A00-16)This Series contains the records of the Gamma Alpha Association, the University of Missouri-Columbia Chapter of the Gamma Alpha Scientific Society, a fraternal organization geared towards a cooperative living environment for male graduate students in the biological and physical sciences (1948-1989). The Gamma Alpha Graduate Scientific Society was dissolved in 1972 and the Gamma Alpha Association Insured Loan Fund was formed to distribute scholarships and loans. This Series contains membership lists, correspondence and newsletters, insurance and real estate records, audits and other financial reports, and the bylaws of the Gamma Alpha Scientific Society of Chicago. Topics in this Series include the purchase, upkeep and subsequent sale of the house and controversial disbursement of Gamma Alpha Association funds.
