Topics include awards for outstanding leadership on the part of women, minorities and people with disabilities, census information, applicant flow data, the Affirmative Action Workforce, MU System-wide Affirmative Action information, Affirmative Action goals and timetables, position titles, the "Executive 81-17, State of Missouri Affirmative Action Plan," "Human Rights 1983," Small Business Seminars, personnel materials, facilities programs, and Equal Employment Opportunity.

This Series has been enlarged to a full inventory. Please follow this link to reach the inventory. This Series contains audio cassette tapes, video tapes, and video projector slides generated by the University of Missouri-Columbia Office of Equal Opportunity, (ca. 1984-1988).

Series 2. - C:1/29/3 (A90-119; A09-21)
This Series contains records of the UMC Office of Equal Opportunity, (1980-1989, bulk 1982-1984). Included in this Series are administrative records, correspondence files, and general subject files. Topics include census information, applicant flow data, the Affirmative Action Workforce, position titles, "Human Rights 1983," Small Business Seminars, personnel materials, facilities programs, and Equal Employment Opportunity, the "Executive 81-17, State of Missouri Affirmative Action Plan," salary and wage plans, Equal Opportunity Program Review, (1984-1986), and the Multicultural Management Program, (1986-1987). A number of the records in this Series were created during the directorship of Alton Zanders.

This Series contains records of the UMC Office of Equal Opportunity, (1975-1984). Included are MU System-wide Affirmative Action information, Affirmative Action goals and timetables, Job Group Analysis, and Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action reports for 1975-1978.

Series 4. - C:1/29/4
This Series contains printed and duplicated material created and received by the Office of Equal Opportunity, (ca. 1984-1989). The material includes brochures, progams, handbooks, guides, and manuals detailing Equal Opportunities perspectives of students and staff, Equal Opportunity Week, grievance procedures, sexual harassment, career opportunities and sex discrimination, and affirmative action. The Series also contains a copy of the final narrative report of the Plan for Continuing the Achievement of Equal Opportunity for Students and Faculty, (1986).

Restrictions Note: The University of Missouri-Columbia Archives is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
