Included in the Why Tigers section of the exhibit are copies of historical photographs from a variety of sources including the University of Missouri Archives, Boone County Historical Society, Western Historical Manuscript Collection, State Historical Society of Missouri, Boston Art Museum, and drawings and graphics of the campus and tigers. The Sub-Group also includes color drawings and a floor plan of the exhibit as it was installed in the van and a poster promoting the MU Sesquicentennial Celebration activities.

Historical Note:

The MU Sesquicentennial touring exhibition was sponsored in part by the Ramada Inn, Legends Automotive Group, Guesthouse Inn of Columbia, and United Van Lines. The Why Tigers section of the exhibition was developed by the Missouri Cultural Heritage Center in the Graduate School and the Office of Research by Howard Marshall and graduate students Debbie Oakson and Toni Prawl.
