This Record Sub-group contains records produced for and by University of Missouri System-wide standing committees.
Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - UW:6/1/1 (A02-147)
This Series contains administrative records of various system-wide committees associated with the Missouri Education and Research Libraries Information Network (MERLIN). The committees and types of records included in this Series are: an agenda and the final draft of the committee charge from the MERLIN Coordinators Committee (2002); meeting minutes from the MERLIN Information Access Committee (IAC), (1995-1996), which replaced the Libraries of the University of Missouri Information Network (LUMIN) Public Services Committee in 1996; agendas and meeting minutes from the MERLIN Advisory Committee (MAC), (1996-1998), which provides "broad oversight of the MU Libraries' use of the [MERLIN] system"; agendas and meeting minutes of the MAC Reference Subcommittee, (1996-1998); and electronic and listserv correspondence, agendas, meeting minutes, and miscellaneous supplementary documents of the MERLIN Reference Services Committee, (1996-1999). Also included in the Series is a folder of general material regarding MERLIN such as a MERLIN fact sheet and a Service Level Agreement between the University of Missouri Office of Library Systems and the members of MERLIN. The majority of the material in this Series came from the files of Judy Siebert Pallardy, Head of Science Branches, MU Libraries.

Series 2. - UW:6/1/2 (A05-41)
This Series contains records created and received by members of the Public Relations Council of the University of Missouri-System, (1979-1992). The records consist of meeting minutes, agendas, and supplemental meeting materials. Also included is internal and external Council correspondence.

Note to Archivist: The records in this Series were collected by staff members of University Relations who at various times served as members of the Council. A paper box list of 016617 is available.
Series 3. - UW:6/1/3 (A14-17)
This Series contains records of the Division of Information Technology's (DoIT) Enterprise Applications Services' Campus Solutions Managers (CSM) Committee, (2007-2011). The CSM Committee is made up of enrollment managers of each of the University of Missouri's four campuses and of DoIT staff in order to address issues related to the Student Administration business processes of the PeopleSoft business management software. The records consist of meeting minutes from video-conference meetings held by the CSM Committee. Examples of topics addressed in the meetings are: system access, directories, Blackboard, MyZou, ImageNow, role assignments, grade data, social security number remediation, and general functionality of the software.

Series 4. - UW:5/3/7
This Series contains records created by the University of Missouri Staff Advisory Council, (1989-2001). The records consist of copies of the Council's newsletter, UM Staff Advisor. The Series includes Volumes 1 through 12 as well as Issues 1-4 of Volume 13 of the publication.

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
