Scope and Content Note

This Sub-Group contains one copy of the Constitution of the Missouri College Union (1946).

Historical Note:

The "Missouri College Union" was an organization comprised of "four year liberal arts colleges that are members of the North Central Association." Charter members included the University of Missouri, Washington University, St. Louis University, the University of Kansas City, William Jewel College, and Missouri Valley College, among others. Its goals were to raise the standard of higher education in Missouri, to maintain a forum for discussion of educational issues, to provide recommendations concerning policies and practices, and to foster communication between the faculties of member colleges and universities.
