Scope and Content Note
(A78-25a; A86-20)
This Record Sub-Group contains administrative records, black-and-white photographs and negatives created and collected by the Dean's Office in the College of Engineering. The administrative records consist of budgetary correspondence, news clippings, and various publications from the College of Engineering and from other University and non-University sources. The majority of the photographs and negatives are of faculty members in the departments and were probably used for publication and information-release purposes. Other photographs depict laboratories and machinery or events in the College such as Engineers' Week.
Series Descriptions:
This Record Sub-Group is divided into two series based solely on format. Series One contains the non-photographic, paper records while Series Two consists of photographs and negatives. There are two exceptions to this division in which paper records were kept with the photographs to preserve original order.
The arrangement within each Series is alphabetical.
Where appropriate, the photographs and negatives have been housed within the file folders in separate envelopes or sleeves.
Series Outline:
1. Administrative Records
2. Photographs and Negatives
Note to Archivist: A few of the photographs have copyright information on the back. Each photograph should be checked before duplication is allowed.
