This Series contains printed and duplicated material created by or pertaining to the College of Arts and Science's Department of Religious Studies. The material consists of departmental newsletters, including "Comunique," academic program brochures and flyers, event brochures, and a copy of "Islam in the Modern World - 1983 Paine Lectures in Religion."

This Series contains administrative records of the Department of Religious Studies, (1980-2014). The records consist of terminated faculty files [RESTRICTED] and include curricula vitae, evaluations, correspondence, position application material, personnel action forms, and other related records. Some of the records pertain to visiting professors as well as instructors.

This Series contains administrative and other records of the Department of Religious Studies, (1976-2019). The records consist of the following types and topics: correspondence, memoranda, the Paine Lectures, a National Endowment for the Humanities grant and seminar series, including recordings, newsletters and other printed and duplicated materials, departmental reviews, Islamic Studies, Jewish Studies, the Master's Program, mission enhancement, Professor and Department Chair Jill Raitt, Religion-Journalism and other symposia, scholarships, and the Religious Studies Club.
