This Sub-Group consists of records from the UMCHC Patient Services (formerly "Nursing Services") Department. Included in this Sub-Group are files pertaining to orientation, quality monitoring acuity verification reports, in-service training, general administrative records, agency staffing, departmental correspondence and reports, and departmental committee records.

This Series contains administrative records including proposal drafts and revisions for the Child Care Center. Other topics include files pertaining to the delegation of authority, beds in service before the fiscal year, and the Newcomer Program (1992-1993).

This Series contains records from Medicine Center 5 East - the Medical, Surgical,
General Surgery Care office, (1993-1996). This office reports to the
Associate Director of Patient Care Services. Included in this Series are Patient
Services Committee meeting minutes and Continuing Quality Improvement Committee
materials.

This Series contains administrative records of the University Hospital and Clinics Division of Nursing Services, (1982-1991). The records include correspondence, quarterly reports, proposals, news clippings, and design plans regarding the hospital-run child care center, (1981-1983), and the proposed Stafford Hall child care center, (1988-1991).

This Series contains records of the University Hospital and Clinics Division of Nursing Services, (1990-1992). The records consist of documentation and minutes of the Quality Assurance Committee and regard the following disciplines: Ambulatory Care, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Medicine, and Clinical Cancer. The Series also includes records related to a report to the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, (1990).

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
