Record Group: 20 C Record Sub-Group: 6 Records Title: UMC; Libraries; Assistant Director's Office; Administrative Records Dates: 1977-2008 Volume: 3 and 1/3 cubic feet, 4.17 linear foot Scope and Content Note This Sub-Group contains records from the University of Missouri-Columbia Assistant Director of Libraries for Administrative Services. The focus of the records is annual reports and library space, including the renovation of the main lobby of the Ellis Library. The Sub-Group also contains teaching material used by the Assistant Director for Administrative Services. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - C:20/5/1 (A89-14) This Series contians records from the Office of the Assistant Director of the MU Libraries, (1980). These records pertain to the renovation and remodeling of the main lobby of MU's Ellis Library. (Env., Small Holdings Box 7) Series 2. - C:20/5/2 (A11-61) This Series contains teaching materials, (1995-2003), of Robert Almony, Assistant Director for Administrative Services of the MU Libraries. The materials consist of handbooks for the Curriculum and Instruction T-42 course Learning Strategies for College Students: The First Year Experience, (1995-1997, 2002, 2003), as well as a few syllabi, discussion topics, and notes. (1/6 c.f., UMLD1) Series 3. - C:20/5/3 (A16-51) This Series contains adminsitrative and other records of the MU Libraries, (1977-2008, bulk 1990-2000), many of which were created or received during the period Robert Almony was Assistant Director for Administrative Services. Additional records came from the files of Ellen Blair, the fiscal office for the Libraries. The records consist of the following types and topics: correspondence, reports, including annual reports and data, floor and construction plans, library space studies, space planning, expansion and renovation, the Library Annex, photographs, project files, and budget files. Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
