This Sub-Group contains administrative and operational files created or received by the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology of the University of Missouri-Columbia's School of Medicine. The Sub-Group includes correspondence, research grant files, committee records, photographs, reports, course material, event flyers, and publications.

Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:14/28/NP (A96-135; A98-61; A01-63)
This Series contains records of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine's Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, (1979-1995). Included in this Series are departmental correspondence files, (ca. 1979-1984, 1994-1995), grant proposals and awards, (ca. 1987-1992), departmental committee records, and general administrative files pertaining to the day-to-day operation of the department, (1979-1984, 1989-1995). Also included in this Series are copies of the Department Newsletter, (1982-1983), the Strategic Planning Objectives Report, (1993), and group photographs of departmental Graduate Students, (1980-1993).

This Series contains department head records from the School of Medicine's Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, (1993-1998). The records were created during the chairmanship of Arnold Smith and consist of correspondence arranged alphabetically by recipient or writer, project files, retreat and conference files, faculty meeting materials, a faculty needs assessment survey, faculty activity reports, (1995-1996), faculty research and publication files, and letters of recommendation [RESTRICTED].

Series 6. - C:14/28/4 (A23-09; A23-72)
This Series contains miscellaneous records created or received by the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology in the University of Missouri's School of Medicine, (1939-2022). The records consist of printed and duplicated material, event flyers, many for departmental seminar presentations, (1993-2006, 2009-2022), undergraduate student class group photographs, graduate student composite photographs, and faculty, post-doctoral students, visiting scholars, and research associates group photographs. Series 6 also holds a portrait of Mazyck P. Ravenel, (1939), and a commemorative plaque for Joseph T. Parisi, (1990). Some of the printed and duplicated material pertains to the following programs: Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Microbiology and Immunology and Veterinary Pathobiology, and Molecular Pathogenesis and Therapeutics.

Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
