This Record Sub-Group contains administrative records created by or received in the Office of the Dean of the Law School. Records in this Sub-Group consist general administrative records and of faculty personnel files.

Series 1. - C:12/1/2 (A24-27; A24-53)
This Series contains general administrative records of the Office of the Dean of the Law School, (1933-2019). The records included the following types and topics: correspondence, memoranda, annual and other reports, meeting files, committee files, program reviews, faculty, the Law School catalog, Missouri Bar Exam [RESTRICTED], budget, accreditation, post-tenure research, the Center for the Digital Globe, commencement, the Center for the Study of Dispute Resolution, the Clinic Program, Dean's Roundtable, awards including the Edna Nelson awards, recruitment, law associations including the Association of American Law Schools and the Association of Continuing Legal Education Administrators, Law Day, the London Program, the Law School Foundation, the Law School Admission Council, the Law Society, the Lawyer in Residence program, the Earl F. Nelson lecture, the Law School building, and the School of Law Student handbook.

This Series contains administrative records of the Office of the Dean of the Law School, (1955-1989). The records consist of faculty personnel files [RESTRICTED]. Series 2 also includes a photographic print of Esther M. Mason, (1964), secretary to the Dean, in her Tate Hall office.

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
