Eckhardt, Dean of the University of Missouri-Columbia Law School from 1969-1977. Biographical Note: Willard L. Eckhardt was Assistant Professor of Law from 1938-1941, Associate Professor of Law from 1941-1945 and Professor of Law from 1945 until his retirement in 1982 when he became Professor Emeritus of Law. Professor Eckhardt served as Dean of the School of Law from 1969-1977. He died January 24, 1993. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - C:12/1/1 (A93-63) Included in this Series are class notes from Professor Eckhardt's days as a law student, a personal diary from March and April 1944, materials relating to his involvement with the American Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association, information on courses taught at the Law School during his tenure as dean, personal and professional correspondence, notes and minutes of various committees he sat on and chaired and organizational and administrative information relating to the School of Law during his tenure.
