The first "Editors Week" was held in 1910. The following year, 1911, the School of Journalism held its first "Journalism Week." From 1911 through 1914, the noon luncheons were under the direction of the Columbia Commercial Club. In 1915, the School of Journalism hosted their first night banquet. In 1943 there was no Journalism Week Banquet due to World War II. In recent years Journalism School has shortened Journalism Week to one day celebrated in October.
This Sub-Group is divided into two record series. Series One contains photographs, scrapbooks, news clippings and publicity, programs, newspapers, correspondence, banquet menus, play scripts, and ticket sales records. Series Two holds sixty-nine flags used during the Ninth Annual Journalism Week banquet.
