This collection contains administrative records, photographs, negatives, and blueprints of the UMC Department of Physics and Astronomy (ca. 1900-1973). Included in this Series are correspondence files, faculty meeting minutes (ca. 1958-1973), photographs of faculty, staff, graduate students, and Stewart Hall (ca. 1900-1971), and biographical sketches of faculty members T.J.J. See and Newell Gingrich. Also included in the Series are blueprints and architects' notes used in the construction of the Physics Building (ca. 1912).

Series Descriptions:

This Record Sub-Group is divided into three series. Series One contains photographs of Stewart Hall, the Physics Building, and Physics Department faculty and staff. Series Two contains administrative records of the UMC Department of Physics and Astronomy (ca. 1900-1973). Included in this Series are correspondence files, faculty meeting minutes (ca. 1958-1973), and biographical sketches of faculty members T.J.J. See and Newell Gingrich. Series Three contains blueprints and architects' notes used in the construction of the Physics Building (ca. 1912).
