Boone County Historical Society
The Boone County Historical Society web site provides a calendar of current events, information on Maplewood, Montminy Art Gallery, Walters-Boone County Historical Museum and the Wilson-Wulff Genealogical Library. There are feature articles and photographs from its collection as well.

Brief Histories of Colleges and Schools
The University of Missouri-Columbia home pages contain historical information about many of the colleges and schools on campus.

Genealogical Society of Boone County and Central Missouri
The Genealogical Society of Boone County and Central Missouri has as its mission "furthering genealogical research and promoting interest in family history in the central Missouri area."

Leaders From MU's Past
These pages contain biographical sketches and photographs of UMC's chief executive from the beginning of the university to the present. The original site was maintained by the University of Missouri-Columbia (UMC) campus Chancellor's Office. It is now updated by University Archives, University of Missouri-Columbia.

Missouri Historical Society
The website of the MHS contains information about its collections, exhibitions, publications, programs, and events.

MU in Brick and Mortar
A website produced by the MU Office of Space Planning and Management's Building and Infrastructure Archives that defines its mission as presenting "the construction history of the UMC campus, one building at a time. This web exhibit pairs the Building and Infrastructure Archives' architectural drawings with historical photos and documents from University Archives, the Western Historical Manuscript Collection, and other sources. Further historical facts and background information have been included to provide more detail and contextual reference."

State Historical Society of Missouri
The homepages of the SHS include various resources relevant to Missouri history, genealogy, and preservation. The SHS also house the collections of the former Western Historical Manuscript Collection.

University of Missouri Digital Library
This is a University of Missouri web site that offers a number of UM-related texts in digital format, the majority of which are full-text searchable. The digital collection includes the University of Missouri-Columbia yearbook, Savitar.

The Missouri Secretary of State's Missouri Digital Heritage website is a "collaborative effort that dramatically expands the amount of information available online about Missouri’s past. In 2007, Secretary of State Robin Carnahan proposed this landmark initiative to further Missourians’ access to information about the history of our state and local communities."
