Record Group: 4 UW Record Sub-Group: 31 Records Title: UM System; President's Office; Printed and Duplicated Materials Dates: 1962-1994 Volume: 2 and 1/2 cubic feet, 3.12 linear feet Scope and Content Note This Sub-Group contains records of the University of Missouri President's Office. Included in this Sub-Group are self-study reports, accreditation data, visitation committee reports, annual reports from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and lists of President's Office councils, staff groups, and committees with accompanying descriptions of duties. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - UW:4/00/1 (A75-45; A75-46) This Series contains University of Missouri President's Office copies of accreditation records and self-study reports prepared for the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools by all four UM-System campus administrations (1962-1994). Also included are copies of 1962 Visitation Committee reports concerning the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Missouri-Rolla. Series 2. - UW:4/00/2 This Series contains mimeographed copies of the Annual Report, University of Missouri-St. Louis (1968-1970). These are copies which were received by the University of Missouri President's Office and have been bound as two volumes. For miscellaneous University of Missouri-Columbia reports, see Sub-Group 21 of Record Group 1 C. For copies of UM-System President's annual reports, ask the University Archives staff about collection UW:5/2/3. Series 3. - UW:4/00/3 This Series contains lists of councils, staff groups and committees whose members were appointed by the University of Missouri President (1972-1973). Also included are descriptions of the duties and purposes of some of the councils, groups, and committees listed. Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
