Record Group: 23 C
Record Sub-Group: 4
Records Title: UMC; University Hospital and Clinics; University Physicians Administration Office; Administrative Records
Dates: 1971-2005
Volume: 61 and 1/3 cubic feet, 75.67 linear feet

Scope and Content Note

This Sub-group contains records produced by the UMCHC University Physicians Administration Office. Included in this Sub-Group are correspondence files, department files, photographs of administrators, staff, buildings, and clinics, ambulatory care records, job descriptions, fee structuring sheets, variance reports, diagnosis lists, promotion and tenure records, planning materials, clinic encounter forms, guest relations information, admission information, patient complaint letters, and Medical Service Research Plan (MSRP), Medical Practice Income Plan (MPIP), and Physician Practice Plan (PPP) materials. Other topics include credit collection and review, Medicare, Medicaid, health care program proposals and bids, prisoner studies, records management, breast screenings, staff planning, same day surgery, and computerized storage and retrieval of information.

Note to Researcher: Though University Physicians answers to the Dean of the School of Medicine, it is probably due to the unit's initial association--as the Medical Service Research Plan--with UMCHC for billing and collection that it was placed under the UMCHC record group.
