This Series holds University of Missouri-Columbia School of Library and Informational Science faculty records. Included in the Series are promotion and tenure records [RESTRICTED] of School of Library and Informational Science faculty members.

Series 2. - C:13/2/2 (A12-118)
This Series contains faculty papers of Mary F. Lenox, (1979-1998). The records consist of copies of publications authored by or about Lenox as well as select grant applications [RESTRICTED]. Also included in the Series is a report prepared by Lenox for her 1981 Faculty-in-Residence at the Chicago Public Library and Library System entitled "Facilitating School/Public Library Cooperation" and a report for her visit to the University of the Western Cape in 1994. Some of the publications included in this Series are Voice of Youth Advocates, School Library Journal, School Media Quarterly, Mizzou Alumni Association's The Letter, the American Library Association's Top of the News, Nebraska Library Association Quarterly, and The Cape Librarian/Die Kaapse Bibliotekaris.

Note to Researcher: Dr. Mary Lenox served as Dean of the School of Library and Informational Science at the University of Missouri from 1984 to 1996. Administrative records from the period of her deanship can be found in

Series 3. - C:13/2/3 (A19-02)
This Series contains records from the School of Library and Informational Science, (ca. 1978-1990). The records pertain to faculty and administrators in the School. Records in this Series include photographs from a birthday celebration for Ralph Parker, (1989), a photograph of Parker receiving his emeritus certificates from Dean Edward Miller, (1978), an obituary for Parker, (1990), a memorial service program for Parker, (1990), a notification of Parker's death from the School, (1990), and photographs, (ca. 1990), and a newsclipping, (1987), of Mary Lenox.

Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
