Warning! Notice is hereby given that any person who shall ride or drive any horse or other animal, or any vehicle, on any sidewalk or footway, or shall hitch or fasten any horse or other animal to any railing, fence, ornamental or shade tree, upon the University Campus will be prosecuted under Section 386 of the Revised Ordinances of Columbia. Any person who shall, without right, root up, cut, destroy, or injure any plant, ornamental or shade tree, shrub or vine, growing upon the University Campus, will be prosecuted under Sections 1959 and 1960 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1899. All officers of the University are enjoined to see that the ordinance and the statutes above cited are enforced and to arrest without warrant (which the law permits) any person found in actual perpetration of the offenses named in said statutes.
