Materials from the holdings of the University Archives can, under normal circumstances, be made available by Archives' staff for patrons to examine and study in the Archives' Reading Room (Room 703, Lewis Hall) during regular business hours.
University Archives is open 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, except holidays.
In order to view materials in the Reading Room, they must first be requested from Archives staff.
The information you will need to request materials is, above all, the call number or collection number. It is in the form, C:XX/XX/XX or UW:XX/XX/XX (e.g., C:1/32/1, UW:4/116/23). This number is located on the MERLIN catalog page you just linked from and is found in the Location Field (abbreviated Loc) or the Call Number Field.

Once the relevant information has been gathered from the MERLIN catalog page, it can be sent via email to a member of the Archives staff and arrangements can be made when to view the materials.
Please note: In most cases, Archives' staff will require 48 hours to have the materials ready for use.
