Alumni will best remember the site of the new Journalism building as the former location of the "Kissing Bridge." Workmen dismantled the bridge before construction began and after the branch that ran through the campus was diverted underground north of the new building. Students reaction at the time of the dismantling led to saving the bricks for later rebuilding at some other spot on campus. The bricks, Raymond R. Halbert, director of the physical plant, said yesterday, are still in storage waiting for funds before they can be reassembled on the campus as a student cherished landmark. (Missourian Photo)
