Rock rolls again December 6, 1974 Campus Digest, Author Unknown City Manager Terry Novak was able to get his rock off Thursday courtesy of the Boone County Court. The Court voted unanimously to accept Novaks offer to take possession of the rock, and put it on the courthouse lawn. This of course means that the University students who want to protest against the rock’s racism will have to walk a little farther than Conley and Ninth streets to paint the rock. On the bright side, however, the courthouse lawn is not nearly so far away as Nifong Park, the rock’s present home. Plans to move the rock to the courthouse lawn have not been finalized.
