AND WHEREAS said proposition was made to said McAlester
and others for the use and benefit of the University of
Missouri;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the board of curators
of the University of the State of Missouri that said gift be and
the same is [illegible] in said proposition. 

AND WHEREAS [illegible] Assembly of the State
of Missouri at its [illegible] appropriating the 
sum of Ten Thousand [illegible] conditions mentioned
in said proposition;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED [illegible] copy of said 
act be furnished the said William L. Parker [illegible] a request made
upon him to deposit the said sum of [illegible] thousand dollars so
donated by him to the credit of the [illegible] the board of curators. 

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true and complete transcript from the record.
