COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, June 20th 1900, Hon. Board of Curators, Missouri State University, Columbia Mo., Gentlemen:- Miss Mary J. Hale has requested me to see you or write you in regard to her claim for work that she did for you on the new hospital. You know she is an Architect and rendered services as such before and during the construction of the hospital: and she has not been paid all that is due her. She is willing to accept of $40.00 in settlement of her claim, although she thinks that she is justly entitled to much more than that sum. Hoping that you will appreciate the work that she has done, and that you will pay her for same, I am Yours very truly, [signed] N. T. Gentry.
