Moberly, Mo., May 31st, 1899 R. H. Jesse, Pres. Of M. S. U., Columbia, Mo., Dear sir:- The other day as I was leaving home I learned that the committee, of which I understand you are a part, on locating the hospital were going to recommend to the board of curators, locating it on the hill infront of the Babb property, rather almost infront of my property. It is not often that I offer an objection to anything of the kind, but I would like for it to be located somewhere else. I am satisfied it would be objectionable to all parties in that neighborhood. If you can see your way clear to recommend some other point I would be glad and take it as a favor. It seems to me that a hospital would require a more quiet place, probably in the suburbs of the town. On the campus grounds it would be in the noise and confusion of the club house and the boys from the campus grounds and the street passing it would cause a great deal of confusion and we think that an objection to the hospital being there, separate and apart from the objections that will be offered by the parties in that community. Yours truly, J. R. Campbell, Ag t.
