Record Group: 9 C Record Sub-Group: 3 Records Title: UMC; College of Engineering, Dean's Office; Administrative Records Dates: 1910-2002 Volume: 61 and 1/6 cubic feet, 76.46 linear feet Scope and Content Note This Record Sub-Group contains administrative files of the Office of the Dean of the University of Missouri-Columbia's College of Engineering. Included in this Sub-Group are office correspondence files, budget requests, photographs, accreditation self-studies, certificates, publicity materials, scripts of speeches, faculty personnel files, development fund files, scholarship records, promotion and tenure guidelines, promotion and tenure files, committee files, and departmental files. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - C:9/1/1 (A78-61; A82-24)This Series holds vitae for faculty members, (1927-1969) of the College of Engineering’s Departments of Chemical Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Nuclear Engineering. Also included in the Series are (1) 4x5" negative, and (3) 4x5" black and white prints of Professor Lewis N. Walker, taken 13 February 1975, and (2) 4x5" negatives and (5) 4x5" black and white prints of Professor Donald L. Waidelich, taken October 1976. (1/6 c.f., B3A, C1, 4)

Series 7. - C:9/1/NP (A96-13; A00-62) This Series contains working files of the College of Engineering Advisory Council (1984-1991) and College of Engineering terminated faculty personnel files for the years 1981 through 1993. (4 c.f., 108268, 108269, 108270, 108271) Note to Researcher: This Series is currently unprocessed. Until it is completely processed and inventoried, portions may not be fully available to researchers.
Series 13. - C:9/1/10 (A04-112) Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released. |
