Scope and Content Note
This Sub-Group holds records of social organizations organized by the spouses of faculty and students of the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Engineering. Included in this Sub-Group are materials such as manuscript histories of these organizations, newspaper clippings, photographs, minutes of meetings, membership lists, and scrapbooks.
Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:9/15/1 (A84-34; A12-61)
This Series holds materials related to the Engineering Faculty Wives Club, (1949, 1968-1976, 1990). The materials consist of a History of the Engineering Wives, (1971), newspaper clippings relating to the club, (1949, 1968, 1990), and a photograph of club members Mrs. Mack Jones and Mrs. Huber Croft (1968). The Series also contains club directories, (1972-1975), Constitution and By-Laws, meeting minutes (1975-1976), club programs, correspondence, flyers, and a contributors list. In addition, there are a few items related to the College of Engineering: a faculty and staff directory, (1974), an Engineering Week memorandum, (1976), a membership list of the College of Engineering Advisory Council, (1975), and faculty meeting minutes, (December 9, 1976).

Note to Archivist: A number of the records in Series 1 come from the period Florence Waidelich was chairwoman of the Club.
Series 2. - C:9/15/2 (A95-92)
This Series contains records of the MU College of Engineering's Engineering Student Wives Club (1953-1976). Included in the Series are meeting minutes, scrapbooks, club presidents' and treasurers' records, membership lists, and announcements.
