Record Sub-Group: 38
Records Title: UMC; College of Arts and Science; Department of Speech and Dramatic Art; Administrative Records
Dates: 1962-2007
Volume: 4 and 2/3 cubic feet, 4.58 linear feet

Scope and Content Note

(A87-106; A96-107; A09-29; A10-40; A11-67)
This Sub-Group consists of the correspondence, reports, scripts, high school drama constitutions, and play programs. The Sub-Group also contains course information, meeting minutes, conferences, and projects related to the Department of Theatre. These materials were created or collected by Larry D. Clark, Professor/Chairman of the Department of Theatre at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Professor Clark was also the Dean of Arts and Science at a later date.
Note to Researcher: The Department of Speech and Dramatic Art was renamed the Department of Communications in June 1986 when the Theater section of Speech and Dramatic Art broke away to become part of the School of Fine Arts, Department of Theatre. Record Sub-Group 38 is used for this collection because the great majority of the records contained therein were created when the Department of Speech and Dramatic Art did exist. See Sub-Group 46, School of Fine Arts, for other Theatre related records.

Series Descriptions:

This Sub-Group is not divided into separate record series. Arrangement within the Sub-Group retains the creating office's original order.
