This Sub-Group contains records generated by the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Arts and Science Associate Dean's Office. The Sub-Group includes correspondence, memoranda, brochures, reports, proposals, committee records, and topical files.

Series 1. - C:6/3/1
This Series contains administrative records generated by the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Arts and Science Associate Dean's Office during the tenure of Associate Dean Edward M. Palmquist, (ca. 1956-1972). Included in this Series are correspondence files, handwritten notes and typed memoranda, brochures, administrative forms, departmental reports, program proposals, and ledger sheets. Also included in the Series are office files relating to accreditation of junior colleges, the Normandy Residence Center, educational television, testing and counseling services, planning for University Day, updating of faculty by-laws, off campus programs for undergraduates, committee service, awarding of scholarships and fellowships, National Science Foundation-sponsored Summer Institutes, advanced placement services, student advisement procedures, foundation fellowships, audits of student organizations, NAACP activities in Columbia, rotation of Departmental Chairmanships, academic dishonesty and student discipline, teacher evaluations, academic tenure regulations, and English programs for international students.

This Series contains administrative records of the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Arts and Science Associate Dean Michael J. O'Brien, (1990-1991) consisting of correspondence and committee records. Committee records include the Anthropology Space Center Committee, the Anthropology Museum Committee, and the Grievance Oversight Committee.
