This Series contains records of the College of Human Environmental Sciences' Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS), (1979-2001). The Series consists of correspondence, memoranda, proposals, applications, and photographic slides, regarding the following: departmental meeting minutes, (1995-2000); assessment exam statistics, (1999-2001) [RESTRICTED]; the department's strategic plan, (1994); and the departmental merger, (1985). The Series also includes research proposals and applications for the National Science Foundation, the Rural Policy Research grant, the Weldon Spring Award, various Development funds, and Summer Research fellowships, (1980-1996). The Series consists of annual reports submitted by HDFS to the Dean of the College of Human Environmental Sciences. Included are working papers and secondary materials for the annual reports. This span includes years HDFS was know as the Department of Child and Family Development and the College as the College of Home Economics.

This Series contains administrative and other records created and received by the Department of Human Development and Family Studies in the University of Missouri's College of Human Environmental Sciences, (1969-2012). The records consist of the following types and topics: course syllabi, faculty meetings, advisory board meetings, unit heads meetings, Administrative Staff Council, printed and duplicated materials and publications, fiscal audits, grant proposals, and the Center for Family Policy and Research (CFPR). Some of the records in this Series pertain to the Extension Services of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies.
