This Sub-Group contains photographs and negatives (6x5) from the Agricultural Editor's Office showing all phases of the University of Missouri's Agricultural Extension Services from 1952-1973. This collection includes images of 4-H activities, extension centers and agricultural facilities, organizations and officers, demonstrations and experimentation, scholarship and award winners, and faculty and staff. Each image is individually labeled with dates, the individuals present, the circumstances of the photograph or negative, and the name of the department of origin within the College of Agriculture.
Note to Researcher: For more information about the Office of the Agricultural Editor, see Record Group 3 C, Sub-Group 37.
Note to Archivist: In June 2011, the first four shoeboxes in this Sub-Group were rehoused into two cubic-foot boxes to facilitate access and remove the curl from the photographic prints. The remaining boxes were not renumbered; therefore Box 3 and Box 4 are no longer used in the Sub-Group.
Series Descriptions:
This Record Sub-Group is divided chronologically and by record format into three record series. Series One contains photographs and negatives from 1952-1965. Series Two contains negatives from 1956-1957. Series Three contains photographs and negatives from 1967-1973. Series One and Two are arranged chronologically and alphabetically by subject headings. Series Three is arranged simply alphabetically by subject headings. Many photographs in Series Three have the subject's full name and county of residence printed on the back.
