This Record Sub-Group contains administrative files from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Dean's Office. Material relates to administrative responsibilities and concerns of the College of Agriculture Dean. Included in this Sub-Group are correspondence files, reports and studies, meeting minutes, maps, a copy of the University of Missouri - Lincoln University Comprehensive Research and Extension Program Plan, and a few photographs. Topics covered in the documents of this Sub-Group include College and Department budgets, personnel matters, committee and departmental actions, salary analysis and comparison, administrative memos, "Commodity Planning," Alumni activities, professional associations and awards, buildings and facilities, land owned, and construction and alteration of College facilities, research projects within the College, and research centers and farms. Also part of this sub-Group are departmental space surveys, a special study of MU's Weldon Spring property, departmental annual reports, departmental self-studies, enrollment (by credit hours and degree program, reorganization studies, University Extension programs, evaluations and annual reports, and N.A.S.U.L.G.C. (the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges). Additionally included in the Sub-Group are records pertaining to the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources' graduate program, international programs (India, Morocco, Portugal, Ecuador, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, I.N.T.S.O.Y., the Missouri Egg Merchandising Council, the Missouri Farmers' Association, the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation, Missouri fertilizer and agricultural limestone control, the Missouri State Government's agricultural concerns.

Series Descriptions:

This Sub-Group is divided into five separate record series. Series designations are based upon the University Archives' "Accession Numbers," assigned to each lot of records transferred by the College of Agriculture. Arrangement within series follows the original, topical order.

Series One contains files relating to College of Agriculture Administration, Alumni, Buildings Facilities, and Land, Departments, General Information and Correspondence, the Graduate Program, International Programs, and Research Centers and Farms.

Series Two contains records pertaining to College of Agriculture Administration, Departments, Faculty, Staff, and Personnel, Research, Rural Development, and Associations and Organizations.

The files in Series Three contain records regarding College of Agriculture Administration, North Central Region Cooperative Projects, Associations and Organizations, and Planning and Evaluation.

Series Four contains records pertaining to College of Agriculture Administration, the Agricultural Alumni Association, Correspondence with other Colleges, Schools, and Divisions, International Projects, and Promotion, Promotions and Tenure, and Salary Review.

The Fifth Series contains records regarding College of Agriculture Administration, Departments and Colleges, Farms and Centers, Reviews, Correspondence, Associations, Councils, and Boards, Budgets, and Promotions and Tenure.

Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released.
