Record Group: 23 C Record Sub-Group: 3 Records Title: UMC; University Hospital and Clinics; Director's Office; Administrative Records Dates: 1968-1988 Volume: 62 cubic feet, 77.5 linear feet Scope and Content Note This Sub-Group contains administrative records generated by the Director's Office of the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics (UMCHC). Included are correspondence files, department files, department reports, fee schedules, evaluation videos, prison unit studies, Nursing Services monthly reports, recovery room staff meeting minutes, general administration files, personnel files, official committee files, and miscellaneous files. Other topics include childbirth education, recognition of advanced arrhythmia, critical care, the legalities of involuntary commitment, and the Rehabilitation Action Group. Note to Researcher: Some of the files in this Sub-Group contain restricted materials and thus are not available for research use. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - C:23/1/2 (A95-115) This Series contains microfilm copies of UMCHC personnel files (ca. 1979-1985). Included in these files are Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action records, recruitment and hiring guidelines as well as data concerning individual employees. (3 MFR, 723, MFC) Series 2. - C:23/1/3 (A91-116) This Series contains original hand-written recovery room staff meeting minutes (1968-1983). Topics include recovery room policy, procedures, fire and disaster drills, guest speakers, and details of patient care. (1 Env., B3A, C2, 2) Series 3. - C:23/1/NP (A95-17; A95-23; A94-46) This Series holds UMCHC administrative records produced by the Office of the Director. These files in this Series pertain to every aspect of day-to-day operation of the UMC Hospital and Clinics (1985-1988). (62 c.f., Follow this link for box locations.) Note to Researcher: This Series is currently unprocessed. Until completely processed, portions may not be fully available to researchers. Restrictions Note: The Archives of the University of Missouri-Columbia is required by law and Board of Curator's policy to restrict access to some files and information. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files.
