Scope and Content Note
This Record Sub-Group contains administrative and committee records created by various units within Columbia Regional Hospital. The committee records consist of meeting minutes, meeting agendas, and supplementary meeting materials. The Sub-Group also includes printed and duplicated material produced by the Columbia Regional Hospital.
Historical Note:
Columbia Regional Hospital was purchased by the University of Missouri on October 1st, 1999. The hospital was previously owned by the California-based Tenet Healthcare Corporation.
Series Descriptions:
Series 1. - C:23/18/1 (A04-98)
This Series contains committee records related to Columbia Regional Hospital, (1993-2001). The records consist of meeting minutes, meeting agendas, and supplementary meeting materials. The committees represented in this Series are: Medical Staff, (1993-1999); Credentials Committee, (1998-1999); and Medical Executive Committee, (1999-2001).

This Series contains records created and received by the Geriatric Psychology Unit of Columbia Regional Hospital, (1992-2005). The records consist of and pertain to policy manuals, staff meeting minutes, nursing orientation, Medicare prospective payment system exclusions, Medicare requirements admission criteria, State of Missouri hospital surveys, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and step increase guidelines. The Series also holds one event scrapbook containing staff and patient photographs [RESTRICTED].

This Series contains administrative records created by Columbia Regional Hospital, (1985-2003, bulk 1998-2003). The records consist of meeting files [RESTRICTED] as well as policy and procedure records. Specific topics in this Series are as follows: Nursing Unit Policy and Procedures, (1987-1994, 1996, 2001-2002), Nurse Managers and House Supervisor meeting minutes, (2000), Infection Control, (1998-2003), Anesthesia Quality Assurance Committee, (1998-2001), Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, (1998-2003), Critical Care Committee, (1999-2002), and the Institutional Review Board, (1995, 1998). The Series also holds meeting records from the Columbia Regional Hospital Medical Staff, including the Credentials Committee, (2001-2002), the Board Credentialing Sub-Committee, (2001-2002), Surgery Department, (1998-2001), Medical Staff, (2000-2001), the Medical Executive Committee, (2002), and the Medicine Committee, (1998-1999). Additional records in this Series concern Employee Health and Infection Control at Columbia Regional Hospital and consist of policy and procedures, (1985-2000), Infection Control, (1987-2000), Varicella, (ca. 1995) [RESTRICTED], Exposure Control, (1994, 1997), and Hazardous and Infectious Waste, (1988-1993, 1997).

This Series contains administrative records created by Columbia Regional Hospital, (2000-2010). The records consist of meeting files [RESTRICTED] from a variety of Hospital commitees, including the Medical Staff Committee, the Medical Executive Committee, the Credentials Committee, the Surgery Department Committee, the Medicine Department Committee, the Board Credentialing Subcommittee, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Quality Assessment, Department Managers, the Critical Care Committee, the Safety Committee, and the Anesthesiology Committee. Series 5 also contains the following record types and topics: Columbia Regional Hospital Board of Directors, policies, procedures, manuals, reports, Senior Mental Health, the Columbia Regional Hospital Community Board, nursing, education and training, and intensive care.
