Fulton of the School of Social Work at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Arthur Nebel, Director of the School of Social Work at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Also included in the Sub-Group are administrative records from the MU School of Social Work. Historical Note: In September 1988 the College of Public and Community Services was dissolved and its programs merged into other units within two colleges. At that time, the School of Social Work was transfered under the College of Home Economics, and the College was renamed the College of Human Environmental Sciences.Note to Researchers: See Record Group 5 C, Sub-Group 16 for other School of Social Work records. Series Descriptions: Series 1. - C:16/7/1Series One contains reprinted materials and private papers of Professor Emeritus Thompson R. Fulton, (1941-1976). Among the topics addressed in the files are proposed National Health Insurance, welfare and social protection, childcare, mental health programs at West Virginia State University, aging, poverty, the School of Social Work at UMC and the School of Social Work's student advising system. Also included in the Series are issues of The Advocate for Human Services magazine and N.A.S.W. News. Student records are held as confidential under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and by University policy. Faculty promotion and tenure records and Academic Personnel files are restricted for 75 years, or the lifetime of the individual. All grievance, disciplinary, and medical records are treated as confidential files. Consultations with legal counsel, both in-house and external, are protected by the attorney/client privilege and will not be released. |
