Scope and Content Note

This Record Sub-Group contains photographs created by the staff of the J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library. The Sub-Group also contains printed and duplicate material concerning the Health Sciences Library.

Series Descriptions:

Series 1. - C:14/56/2 (A10-57)
This Series contains digital photographs of facilities and staff of the J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library, (ca. 1999-2004). The images include interior and exterior views, shots of the computer terminals in the library, and shots of members of the library staff. The Series also includes an image of the library logo and a memorial collage for Margaret Anne Jacobs. A number of the images were used in virtual tours on the library's web site.

Series 2. - C:14/56/3
This Series contains printed and duplicated material created by the J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library. The material consists of general and miscellaneous printed and duplicated material from the library, including staff directories, brochures of services, the Health Sciences Library newsletter, "The Information Search", "Information Pathways", and the program for the 2011 J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library 25th Anniversary Celebration and Symposium.

This Series contains a copy of a University of Missouri School of Medicine proposal to implement a laboratory/resource fee, (2010).

Series 4. - C:14/56/5 (A20-16)
This Series contains audio cassette tapes from by the J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library, (ca. 1982-1984). Four of the tapes are titled "Reminiscences of 25 Years" and they address the history of the School of Medicine and the Medical Center through interviews with Tom Burns, Charles Lobeck, Thomas D. Luckey, Herbert Goldberg, Robert Russell, Bertis Westfall, Hugh Stephenson, Bob Jackson, and Vernon Wilson. Also included is an audio tape capturing the remarks made by Dean William Bradshaw to faculty, staff, and students about the current direction of the Medical School, (1984), and an undated audio tape of a telephone interview with William D. Mayer about the Medical School.

This Series contains printed and duplicated material collected by the J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library for its reference use, (1978-1987). The material consists of manuals and guides from the MU Hospital and Clinics and its Nursing Services Division.
